| 概要 | 講演：14:00-18:20 （受付は13:30からとなります。） スケジュール 開会挨拶 14:00-14:10 新化学技術推進協会 事業統括部長 井上 健二 氏 各講演内容につきましては、入手次第、順次掲載します。 講演（１）14:15-14:45 講師：（株）積水インテグレーテッドリサーチ社長 髙見 浩三 氏 演題：「自然に学ぶものづくり」 要旨：「 積水化学グループでは、「自然」に学んだ「基礎サイエンス」の知見を 活用しようとする大学・研究機関の研究活動を支援するために、「積水 化学 自然に学ぶものづくり研究助成プログラム」を、創立55周年記念 事業の一環として、2002年度より毎年実施しています。 本講演では、これまでの取り組みと今後の課題について説明します。」 講演（２）14:45-15:45 講師：元JR西日本（西日本旅客鉄道（株））技術開発室長 仲津 英治 氏 演題：「自然に学ぶ」ー500系新幹線電車の開発＆走行試験からー 要旨：「 日本の新幹線で、最初に時速300kmの営業運転を行った500系新幹線電車。 この500系の開発にあたっては、最大テーマは速く走ることより、 静かに走ることでした。そしてそこに野鳥の優れた特徴が活かされました。 そういったエピ ソードをお話させて頂きます。」 休憩 15:45-16:00 講演（３）16:00-17:15 講師：英国Bath大学 前教授 Julian Vincent 氏 Formerly Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Bath University, now a mber of the Department of Zoology at Oxford University 邦題：「バイオミメティクスの最前線と先進企業の取組み」 原題：“The frontiers of biomimetics and advanced companies’ effort to them.” 要旨：At the broadest level, technology is based on energy and raw materials, biology is based on structure and information. And whereas technology tends to manipulate materials at the micro-level and larger, nearly all biology happens at the nano-level, a thousand times smaller. A significant part of biomimetics is to do with scaling up biological processes, using technical methods, so that they can either be more productive, or can be manipulated by the relatively crude mechanisms we have under our control. This is illustrated by a new technique for continuous production of pharmacological peptides based on the cellular mechanism that manufactures proteins. Biological structures tend to fail in a ‘graceful’ manner - they show great damage tolerance and durability even though they may be made from relatively weak components - examples are biomimetic wood and mother-of-pearl. Biology has much to teach us about mechanisms as well - the high-powered spray of the bombardier beetle (a low-pressure aerosol), the drill of the woodwasp (developed as an intracranial endoscope), and the inertia-free ‘woodpecker hammer’.
